4 out of 5 stars The last tour with Maurice.......2005-10-04

This is taken from the same tour as the video presentation of the same music. This is pretty much how EWF is performing now. It still has moments of magic, but it's sad to know that so many of group has gone on and has done something different.

Still, there are moments of magic. Sheldon Reynolds, who has since moved on, takes Be Ever Wonderful and turns it into a church number, and it really works well.

Overall, it's a good listen, but the classic live material that is out there is MUCH better.

Inclreible sound. When listens the first song ("In the Stone") the bass will make shake your room (if you have a subwoofer better). I use this cd to make sound check on my equipments.
The clarity of the recording is amazing. EWF played better than ever. Sonny Emory made an excellent work here.
Perhaps the sound of the crowd hinders a little.
Thanks EWF, your music always will be a source of inspiration for me.

5 out of 5 stars 5 stars is not enough, when it comes to this group!.......2005-09-07

Even though EWF is not in their prime, they sound like they are! This is one of my favorite live albums by this incredible group! My favorite songs on here are, After the love is gone, I'll write a song for you, Devotion, and September. But they're all great! I had the incredible experience, of meeting Philip Bailey, Verdine White, and Ralph Johnson, backstage at a concert in Atlantic City two months ago! These are the last three original members of EWF. I had many pictures taken with these guys, and got all their autographs! In my opinion Philip Bailey has one of the most incredible voices I have ever heard! Maurice White, sounds incredible on here too! If you're a huge EWF fan like me, you absolutely must have this CD!

Serously speaking folks, I am the unrefuted biggest EWF fan on the planet. All I can say is....This CD is absolutely 110% PERFECTION! The energy, genius level talent, arrangements & song selections are mind blowing! I bought this because the one live song I didn't have on DVD (except for Gratitude or the Ramsey Lewis version) was Sun Goddess, figuring the remainder of the compilation would the standard stuff. Was I wrong! The arrangements on this one are new, vibrant and mind blowing. With good reason, the crowd is in a total frenzy. My least fave EWF song is, sadly, Boogie Wonderland :(....... HOWEVER :), Verdine is playing this driving, thunderous bass toward the end, followed by Maurice yelping his trademark "OWWWWW" that you must hear to believe. Can't Hide Love (my favorite) is just unparalleled with Maurice doing his improv thing to the point it takes you over the top, as is After the Love where he joins forces with the sax. If you only own 1 EWF CD (I don't know how that would be possible, but, hey ok) -- this is the one. God bless you Maurice for sharing your timeless genius to inspire us all. You are walking music and, being an accomplished musician myself, always have been and always will be my inspiration.

This is a definite Must Have, for all Earth, Wind, and Fire Fans. My favorite on this Album is 'Fantasy'. Maurice White is the man, but he does not sound like one, when he does his little skat solo and fools the audience that he is a trumpet. It is a great album, a real feel good one.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
