How can you go wrong with cuts from Prince? The only issue is...Erotic City should have been the extended version. A couple of more instrumental minutes and Sheila E. does a soul good!

If you love Prince and his art form than you will love this sound track. It is a great mixture of music by the artist. I enjoy listening to it. I also would come back to Amazon again because the shipping and handling was prefect my item arrived early and it was package so that there was not damage.

Nasty Girl.......2006-05-25

I bought Girl 6 for two reasons. One is Nasty Girl. The lyrics are raunchy but fun; and the funky music is dynamite. My favorite part is when Vanity says "Uhh! It's time to jam. Dance nasty girls! Dance! Everybody!" Don't tell me that when you hear I'm A Slave 4 U by Britney Spears, you don't hear Nasty Girl through and through.

I also bought the cd for the b/side songs like Erotic City and How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore. Erotic City is an excellent song, and to think it was a B/side! Some folks' A/sides aren't that good.

Some of the tracks are worth skipping, like Girl 6 and Girls and Boys and Hot Thing. I know Girls and Boys and Hot Thing are supposedly classic Prince songs in many circles, but I disliked them even when I heard them on their respective albums, Parade and Sign O' The Times.

Another standout is Count the Days, which is a vicious attack on an ex-lover. But there's also some lyrics about a church and curing the ills of the people, so who knows what the hell the song is really about. Keep in mind I never saw the MOVIE Girl 6 (and never intend to), so maybe the lyrics are alluding to events in the film.

Nevertheless...

A nice pick-up for earnest Prince fans.

If you enjoy good music, you'll love this album. From start to finish this is a great album! Everybody loves songs like "Nasty Girl" and "Erotic City" already, but you can also listen to the perfect "How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore," and "Count the Days." A great addition to your Prince collection, or something to get it started.
