This is probably My 2nd favorite album of all time. Keyshia did an amazing job on this album. I got it as soon as it came out. For me it was love at first sound. After seeing her raw performance on soul train, i was hooked. I was sad to see people sleeping on her with her first single which I believe is the best song on the entire album. Its unfortunate that it took the world longer to realize this talented singer but Im glad everyone is slowly picking up, especially after 'LOVE'. She is really what the game has been missing. Every song on this album is exceptional. Great Lyrics that I guarantee you can relate to and a beat to go with it. All in all, spectacular album. I really wish she would have left off 'Down and Dirty' off the album...not feeling it! Other than that....COP IT if you dont have it. You will not be dissapointed.

i think it,s wonder to have a good vocalist for a change i alreadly know brandy is one of her idols i can by tell the music and monica too my sister like you a lot keyshia . and she sings too realty can folks. unlike people can,nt sing like cassie and beyonce ok vocalist but ladies and guys we had a good singer she better than most of the vocalists out here now .

Well I recently purchased Keisha Cole's THE WAY IT IS,and let me tell you, it's probably one of the best soul albums of 2006, along with Candi Staton's HIS HANDS. I absolutely love track 6-"Love", 10-"Down and Dirty" and 12-"Never." It's funny because one listen to track 6, some people may think why did she record that song like that. Well being a soul singer, you don't necessarily have to have a perfect pitch, but it's how you sing that matters. Keisha Cole's voice has an inflection that identifies with the everyday person that may be in love or may be recovering from a broken relationship. That is what makes her different from other soul female singers today. You realize that she did go through an experience that made the songs on her album worth singing. But overall what a great album. This definitely will be endured by her fans, and I can't wait for her next album to come out!

I love all but one song on the album even though I know all the words to even that one. My favorite song is "Love, Thought You Had My Back This Time." Other favs include "I Just Want It To Be Over" and "I Changed My Mind."
