This cd is highly recommended for deep down soulful music lovers! I love this cd! Leela James has a voice that makes chills go through your body. Her cd touches on love, broken hearts, soul food, relationships...I loved it!

Not That Great..........2007-01-23

After reading all the rave reviews for this CD, I was really anxious to get and listen to it... but, once I got it, I was not impressed with the CD at all... although Leela has a soulful voice, the songs for this CD just didn't do it for me... I was truly looking for some down home, Aretha Franklin type singing, but, unfortunately, I didn't get it. Maybe she'll do better with her sophomore CD, but, as for this one, I'm glad I didn't purchase it new, or when it first came out... I was quite disappointed.

I heard this song on the radio on the Micheal Bason show in Chicago and I was blown away the only thing was that I did not know her name or anything about her. So by the grace of God I was in Walmart with my sister and saw Music as being crtical acclaimed singer and that was the beinging of something special I am so happy I purchase this cd it is so uplifting and soulful. She can truely sang and it's not about a bitc## or a hoe but the music....

A CD you can listen to from beginning to end, some songs are stronger than others, but overall a good CD.

I just want to say I dont buy music often because I am so picky.. I like CD's and Artist that can put forth an Entire Package. And Leela has. I have had this CD in my car for 3 months and still not tired of it. If you want to list to some "MUSIC" as is the title of one of her tracks. My friends she is it.
