Now, we are in front of a good record (but with terrible imperfections) of the last Falla's work, the cantata "Atlàntida".

However, the best thing of this CD is the quality of the music. Is in a modern style, but we can't compare it with the other pieces of Falla, like "El sombrero de tres picos", inspired in the Andalusian music, more spontaneous than the music of "Atlàntida".

If I must choose another excellent thing of this CD, I would choose the orchestra. The JONDE, do a very good work here. Moreover, we must to say that the people who plays in this orchestra are very young, so we can understand that this musicians will go very far in this world of the music.

The chorus didn't do an excellent work, but it's correct. They are a gigantic chorus, but they need more force in some parts of the composition.

Of the soloists, I think the best is María Bayo. She is a very soprano, with a beautiful voice and lots of hours of study. Here, she demonstrates that she one of the bests Spanish sopranos at the moment.

Teresa Berganza shows here her lovely voice, maybe with some years; but her participation in the part of Pyrene is good, correct.

I don't like Simon Estes here. He sings with a forced and loudly voice. A more relaxated voice it would be better.

Edmon Colomer is one of the bests Spanish conductors now. For that (and because I've heard more of his CD's), I thing that he could help more the chorus when the orchestra "eats" them in the stronger parts of this "Atlàntida". Because of this terrible mistake, I've put to this CD only 4 stars.
