PIANO MUSIC WITH ENERGY.......2002-01-31

I really like this CD! I love piano music. For me, Asleep in a Field of Poppies exudes the piano's soul through the combination of composer Bernadette Garner's melodic insight and the touch of pianist Richard Nash. Along with the artistically played piano, the songs have what seems to be
well-placed splashes of drums and other percussion sounds as well as some wind instruments here and there. I find it easy to listen to these recorded sounds. At first, what draws me in are the simple melodies and I think that I can anticipate where its going to go. Well, to my most pleasant surprise, I find that I have been taken to an enchanting musical place that sounds like my dreams. Strong Hearts is a good example of this (and I'm 17 again). My favorite song is Twilight Waltz because it reminds me of being a little girl and listening to my grandmother's jewelry box over and over. I also love Summer Storm. It is so passionately unpredictable and I didn't want it to end. So, I listen to it over and over again.

MUSIC PLAYED TO PERFECTION.......2002-01-26

This Cd is excellent. The musicianship is incredible. I have listened to it thoroughly about 6 times now and it gets better each time. I would strongly recomment this to any fan of just all around good music.
