Where did Billy Barber come from and where did he go? For the first time,I heard the title track, "Explorer" years ago on a San Diego radio station. It was late evening and I was caught up in the creative flow preparing a presentation of children's art for the following morning. I knew I had to have the music. Local stores were closed or closing and I'd never even heard of Billy Barber. In desperation I called the radio station who patched me through to their deejay. When he heard why I wanted the music, this guy was kind enough to make me a tape which we used a few hours later to great emotional acclaim. Everyone was asking, "What is that music?" I've never heard about Billy Barber since! A pity, this guy is a great talent. Can't say I love all the tracks, but there's enough here to warrant a purchase.
