Holger Czukay's solo releases since the breakup of Can have been quirky, playful affairs, toying with both a weird sense of humor and the avant-garde sensibilities of New Music in the context of the oft-funky and groovy. But on "Moving Pictures", Holger shifts into a darker, more amorphous territory for a very satisfying change of pace. with vocals by U-She and Sheldon Ancel, plus an intensive exploration of ambient sound-masses, this release will appeal to those who enjoyed the Czukay/Sylvian collaborations as well as anyone who enjoys atmospheric _and_ challenging listening.
