Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars great survey of 70s experimental music.......2000-07-18

This cd is a terrific intro to what was happening in the 70s in the electronic scene. Some pieces like those by Lockwood and Oliveros sound as fresh as ever. In them, you can hear the roots of what is now known as sampling. Other pieces sound a bit dated.

5 out of 5 stars Especially welcome as a CD reissue.......1999-12-31

An ear-opening album when first released on vinyl, & my introduction to the music of Beyer, Ruth Anderson & Annea Lockwood. Especially welcome as a CD reissue. Pauline Oliveros is represented by a lengthy excerpt from an electronic masterwork, "Bye Bye Butterfly. The Laurie Anderson pieces are quite charming & very much of their time.
