This is a must have. You will play this CD for the long run. For workouts for driving for work for sitting in your tiny cubicle for mail room workers for executives for sipping wine on the balcony - this CD works. This is a CD that aims to kill radio. Brilliant concept and strategy.

The Perfect Fusion.......2006-05-10

If you have a passion for Hip Hop and can find room for another passion...say jazz! Then this series is the pefect fusion of both loves, Hip Hop & Jazz. Imagine wanting something upbeat yet familiar, with a smooth contemoporary, jazzy feel. Hidden Beach's Unwrapped has taken both my loves and fused them into an incredible mix of musical pleasure, to my ears!!!

Don't be fooled by others...they are ok, but, they are not Hidden Beach's Unwrapped. Vol. (1, 2, 3 or 4)

Just put them on and let it play......Can't wait til Vol. (5) is released!

I love Hidden Beach Recording vol.1. I'm just starting to get into jazz and I wanted something soulful with a relax tone. This CD definately is smooth with hip hop flava!!

and this aint it. on a jazz rating this gets deez nuts. so cereal. its subpar wack jazz at it's crapyist. and making hip hop digestible for non hip hop audiences? don't listen to hip hop if you dont like hip hop. hip hop sampling is nothing like these garbage guitars and keyboards over a beat and hook. and if you don't have the musical intelligence to understand that... then i have a pair of kenny g tickets for you.
im not intending to be defamatory according to the review guidelines.. but im calling it like i see it. from someone who has little jon next to the john coletrane and duke ellington album recorded on impulse! in his record crate. (read: records, vinyl, albums, LPs)

ps, i think i got jipped out of the one star i was forced to rate this.

Hidden Beach Recordings Presents: Unwrapped Vol. 1.......2004-01-17

This is one of the best gifts that I received in a LONG time!! I was really wary of what it had to offer because I was judging this 'book' by its cover. After I listened to it I was pleasantly surprised at its selections. I love how they have taken rap music and created a sound that is harmonious to all!! I am a middle school teacher and I play it during class and the students actually like it! On days when they know that they are going to do seatwork, they will almost beg me to play it while they work. This is a good tool for good behavior and it was a good buy.
