WOW!.......2004-04-21

An Album such as this really only is appreciated by those who can understand depth and art in special music. On this CD, music and sounds that make it seem easy to compose but let me tell you there is much perfection in this 'words cannot say enough' CD than when you first listen to it. It will grow on you and become your favorite get away. Dan Gibson's "Grand Canyon" is one of the tops in the entire category. -Tim

Centering the Spirit.......2001-06-12

'Grand Canyon' is a superb example of this company's ability to meld, seamlessly, the powerful sounds of nature with elegant music. The scene opens, I imagine, in the morning...when you hear the gentle sounds of the piano--and the singing of the birds as the sun is rising. The second track features the sound of the Colorado River...and I like this so much because you can actually feel the water streaming through pieces of the canyon--you feel as if you're either enjoying the ride (in a secure raft) or sitting along a safe river ledge. A treat is that you follow this river as it descends into the Gulf of California...where you hear a rejuvenating piece featuring marsh birds, by the flock, and of course...a very simple and tranquil stream.

This album will truly set you at peace and help to center your spirit. It also makes for a great "bedtime" album...as the stream/river errodes at the walls of the canyon so gradually...so it will tear down your walls of stress! Enjoy!
