Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Healing/Hearing.......2000-11-08

I want to confirm what others have noted here - listening to "Stone Cottage" is a transcendentally calming experience. It has been especially helpful in the context of my profession as a school counselor at a K-12 private school. Students of all ages are instantly soothed by the music, which I often have playing in the background when they come to talk. The album flows with such ease and grace that there is no moment when it interrupts the rhythm of students' expression, but instead provides an ambience of peacefulness and healing which facilitates students' disclosure and discussion. I highly recommend Ms. Naccarato's music both personally and professionally.

5 out of 5 stars A female George Winston.......2000-03-15

I agree with the fan from Houston. This is an excellent piano solo album. I remember G. Winston's "Autumn" recording being considered the best music for romance. "Stone Cottage" is just as deserving; playing "Autumn" for every romantic encounter gets very boring, after all. Too much comparison with Winston though is dangerous; Ms. Naccarato has her own style--fairly uncomplicated, with an emphasis on the melodic. The pieces are tone poems, and quite easily call up mental images to accompany the tunes. This album is excellent for accompanying a romantic (or any!) dinner, or while reading or relaxing. It's a lying-in-a-hammock-under-a-shade-tree-with-a-glass-of-lemonade kind of album. I highly recommend it.

5 out of 5 stars Wonderfully relaxing if you work in a stressful job........1999-01-19

This is one of the best piano solos that I have heard in a long time. I like to listen to it in the car on the way home from work and sometimes on a weekend morning while drinking coffee and reading the newspaper. All of the pieces have a very calming effect. I recommend this selection to anyone who has a stressful job or is in a reflective mood and just wants to relax.
