Finally Decided to buy.......2003-05-31

After listening to Luna de Fiesta in one of Flamencos various artist CD mix - I got hooked on Jose Encinas music and style. I listened to this song everyday while on vacation down the Jersey Shore. I decided to buy: Guitarra Romantica, Duende.

Both CD's are outstanding. I wonder when Jose Luis Encinas will be touring NY/NJ metropolitan area. Jose don't wait too long. Love to have you visit the USA.

Well educated, and certainly talented, Jose lacks the soul to make the transition to anything more than a small venue novelty. He is trying to homogenize both classical spanish guitar, and pop in a poor attempt to reach a larger audience. The result is a sound that is not quite either, and not quite appealing.

This Cd is a masterpiece! José's ability to coax emotion out of the guitar is amazing. The fifth track "La Herida Lenta" is hauntingly passionate and, as its name means, you can literally feel the pain and heartache in the music. The emotion of the ninth track, "Intrigas Palaciegas", is just the opposite. This song has a festive rythmn with a strong beat that will have you dancing. José's music is unique in that he combines the seductive sounds of flamenco with the modern flavors of pop, world, and classical music. "Guitarra Romántica" is a CD that I listen to in the car, while cooking, exercising, reading, and studying. It can be background music that enhances any situation, but it is also so intricate that it can be the focal point, worthy of all your attention. The final word -- buy it!!

I've been waiting for this cd for just about 3 years!! It's great. Love BUSCAME, that girl ( Mary Carmen Segura ) what a voice. Love MI ADORADA GEISHA. I can say this much: so far there's nothing that Luis Encinas has done musically that i haven't loved yet. Keep up the good work . Can't wait to get REMOLINO AND GUITARRA ROMANTICA. Nadie como los latinos, especialmente los espanoles para tocar la guitarra acustica. Hasta la siguiente, de parte de una admiradora from Las Vegas, Nevada.

It's a beautiful compilation CD...so if you enjoy this CD, then you will equally enjoy his "Remolino" and "Aurora" CD! This is a collection of Jose Luis Encinas' songs of many moods. He has combined songs from both of his latest works, previously only released in Spain, on THIS CD. Of course, the other two CDs also contain other songs which are very much worth listening to! The songs on "Guitarra Romantica" present the listener with beautiful landscapes, interwoven through his sound and melodies. Encinas has that unique ability to transport listeners on the sound breeze of his Spanish guitar. He is amazing. Songs featured are the lively and rhythmic "Buscame" (acoustic and vocals), "Huracan Rumba" (A magical, Spanish rumba to dance the night away!), "Sahara" (romantic guitar can't get any closer than this!), "Remolino" (smooth yet vibrant, guitar music that's perfectly- phrased), "Sortilegio" (a beautiful, artistic guitar solo - serene yet alluring.) There are other songs on this CD that will equally transport listeners on the new journeys of Jose Luis Encinas' Spanish guitar! You'll want to revisit his music again and again!
