A Choice of Excellence.......2001-07-03

This CD is pure cosmic joy. It is impossible to hear it's rhythm without succumbing to a happy, elevated state of being. A few songs into it I am aware that I am exactly where I need to be in the time line of my life. Each song holds its own presence with instruments that are somewhat unfamiliar to my Western ears but never too repetitive. Lots of little ironies in the phrasing if you listen closely...loved Immigration Man and House of Bamboo!!! The addition of Paul Simon, Eddie Brickell and Sting may bring some people to the table who might not otherwise have broken bread but Danny Paradise on his own is a force to be reckoned with...powerful, soothing, a distinct energy! The CD cover alone is worth a study...the graphics are amazing with metamorphosis taking place, fascinating stories of the artist's global journeys...and those yoga poses....ouch! Enjoy! Enjoy!

60's folk with a world beat.......2001-03-23

This is easily one of the very best that's been on my personal CD playor for a long time. The words are indeed significant, but just the sound and the blending of folk and of other cultures lifts this CD way above the average. Paul Simon's and Sting's contributions sure don't hurt the overall quality either.

Whether one is of a spiritual bent, or a lover of the likes of Pete Seeger, Harry Chapin, etc., this CD is bound to be a treat.

River Of The Soul is probably the finest album to be released in the past ten years(or ever!). Not only does Danny's musical geniusness shine forth on this album, his spiritual insight into the nature of human existence is also prominently displayed. Danny not only is an astounding yogi, he's an inspiration to all of us truth seekers and freedom fighters. Just thinking about the music on this c.d. puts me into an ecstatic frenzy!I truly hope this c.d. will gain more recognition in due time, 'cause if I was the only one who was gifted with the right to hear it, I'd kill myself in order to allow the world to be blessed with these beautiful sounds. Can you say Grammy? I can, and you will once you hear this work of art.

RIVER OF THE SOUL.......2000-09-28

This CD is an amazing example of EAST meets WEST in the music world. The music blends the hypnotizing harmonies of classical Nepali music with the lyrics and guitar of some of the best musicians from the West. The combination of guitar with the sitar, tabla, violin, and the bamboo flute blend together like Indian spices.

Danny Paradise's lyrics reflect the insights on life that he has gained traveling the world on his yogic path. The accompanying music is so tantalizing that your might forget to listen to the thought provoking lyrics...don't let that happen!

This is a very upbeat and exciting new sound that shouldn't be missed. The treat of superstars Sting, Paul Simon, and Edie Brickell singing harmony makes the sound a true international music masala!
