Customer Reviews:
You'll wear it out!!!.......2006-01-18
I discovered this CD (tape at the time) over 10 years ago while on vacation. I was with a friend in a cute little shop somewhere close to Nags Head. This was playing. After browsing for about 10 minutes we looked at each other at the same time and asked "Who is this?" We both purchased it and became instant Emile Pandolfi fans. I wore the tape out playing it. I managed to find the tape in another store and purchased another one. I ended up giving that one away. I went back to purchase another one and to my dismay they didn't carry it anymore. I ended up calling the manufacturer and purchased FOUR CD's (two for friends, one for myself and one to give away :)). I have since added more of Emile's cd's to my library but this is one of my favorites. You cannot go wrong with Emile Pandolfi. He doesn't recreate the song but totally enhances them. His playing is absoulutely magnificent, soothing and relaxing. His interpretations will be your own as you listen and sing along. One of my favorites from this CD is "Beauty and the Beast" since it's one of my favorite Disney movies, but you'll absolutely love every song (and note) played on this CD. Buy it and ENJOY!!!!
Beautiful Music.......2005-08-12
I bought this album on a cassette tape about 10 years ago, and I've always loved it. I recently had a baby and thought it would be great lullaby music, but the cassette had become warped over the years. The CD is fantastic, and it also makes for excellent lullabies.

I was in a Hallmark store in Lousiana, and this CD was playing. I had to have it.
Audio Illusions.......2002-11-15
One advantage of living in Georgia is that Emile Pandolfi sometimes comes to Roswell (Georgia) to give a concert. So far, I have attended three of his concerts. During his first concert, Emile explained that he has endeavored to create an audio illusion of two hands playing the piano when - in fact - he would be using his left hand.
He then began playing "A Wish is a Dream Your Heart Makes" from the album "Once Upon a Romance". True to his word, Emile played the first half of the number exclusively with his left hand. At that performance, there was a large screen which showed the keyboard while Emile played. From an audio standpoint - even watching his hand on the screen - I could almost swear he was using both hands. And - watching his left hand at work - I was amazed to see that the fingers he used to carry the melody were quite unlike what you would usually expect to see when one is playing a tune at the keyboard.
Once Emile completed the first half of the number, he then went back to using both hands at the keyboard for the rest of the number.
When I attended the other two concerts, Emile played the same number at both performances - but - both times - he played the entire number exclusively with the left hand. All I can say is "incredible".
In the album, "Once Upon a Romance", you will hear Emile perform the first half of the number exclusively with the left hand, the second half with both hands.
Also, in the first performance, Emile played a tape on that big screen, which showed him playing the piano. During that number, suddenly, there were three hands simultaneously at the keyboard. This nearly brought the house down in laughter, as Emile also creates the illusion of that many hands playing during most of the numbers he performs.
Emile is clearly in a class all by himself. A pure joy to listen to, and even more so to watch in concert.
Disney Classics.......2001-02-05
We all recall the first time we heard these Disney Classics as a youngster. There is still an element of those wonderful times in our memory bank. These wonderful tunes played so enchantingly, just brings back a flood of child memories I don't ever want to forget! It reminds me of my first visit to Disneyland just one month after it opened...it was August 12,1955, and I was 12 years old. As I put on this cd and close my eyes, I'm back in time to 1955 and a kid again and all my cares go away....for a time anyway. My most favorite is "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes". I'm a sentimental fool away, and this beautiful melody tugs at my heart strings and brings a tear to my eye. How I wish life was as simple and wonderful as those days gone by. =)
