Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Enchanting.......2006-05-29

This lady has a truly enchanting voice. The voice reminds me some of Loreena McKennitt. She also sings in the celtic ballad style. My favorite Pagan CD.

5 out of 5 stars Absolutely beautiful.......2006-01-11

I have heard bits and pieces of this cd for years at a group I attend. Now I can listen to the whole thing, and appreciate the flow of it.
The vocals are all in a pleasing, and singable range.Even the cd cover and art are fabulous.
This is a cd I would recommend to any pagan, Bring back the light is my favorite Yule song ever.
I do disagree with a previous reviewer, this cd does not touch on Christianity at all. The song Heaven's gift is about the birth of a child. A gift from the heavens, is an appropriate term for a baby. Even as a non-Christian the heavens still lie above me. The heavens contain the sun, moon, and the stars. In my opinion Gypsy has gone beyond a knee-jerk reaction to the term heaven, and that is a good thing.=)
*editted to add that the previous review I mentioned is the one that reacts to the "God themed songs towards the end of the album"

5 out of 5 stars Spin, merry meet, merry meet & good measure.......2005-12-28

I keep thinking that Gypsy is an older sister from a past life. Hearing her music is to let her tell you of her love of life, love of Magick, love of peace and the Lady & Lord.

I know Christians who would never allow themselves the opportunity to listen to Gypsy, because of the Pagan/Wiccan theme, to which I say it is their loss, and am sad they choose dogma over enjoyment of some excellent music. I, as well as many Pagans, have no problem with other types of spiritual music, and I am mystified why some choose to see Pagan music as out of bounds.

Gypsy was one of my first experiences into the realm of Pagan music. It completely blew me away, how someone could put so much information into one song on how to cast a circle (Enchantress), which I have used parts in my own rituals. Her "Two Witches," is charming, being a song of her relationship as friend with Laurie Cabot, and the beautiful, etherial "Lady," make this CD a joy to own.

I had waited for years to see this album come out on CD, and when I found out it was released I immediately bought it.

Enchantress is a wonderful introduction to Pagan music, and would be a proud addition to anyone's CD library.

Blessings, and enjoy the journey.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome .......2005-04-18

I absolutely love this CD. She has the most beautiful voice I have heard since Stevie Nicks. All the songs are great, Especially "Medicine Song." It shows that pagan music CAN and DOES rock.

4 out of 5 stars Superb New Age Pagan Music!.......2004-08-04

This is totally different from most Pagan cd's I have(ie:Laura Powers, Lisa Thiel). All the songs are superb with the exception of "Medicine Song" which I think is too rock n' roll sounding--almost 1980's style of music, and it seems out of place on this cd. I'd give this cd 5 stars if it weren't for that song.
