3 out of 5 stars Feal positive but not sure.......2007-03-09

This CD when I use it a half hour flys bye instantly, and feel very relaxed, I plan on hooking my eeg monitor up and checking to see what is really happening but havent done it yet, I'll get back when I do.

5 out of 5 stars An Awesome Experience.......2006-11-11

I have been interested in brain entrainment technology for many years and have sampled many of the raw tools that are out there. Awakened Mind System is by far one of the best that I have heard to date. When it first arrived, I was skeptical. Upon hearing the first chord, I knew that this was something very special. This CD is so good for a whole lot of reasons. As other reviewers have stated, it can be used for many different activities. It can be used to meditate, for exercising, as a background at work, as a sleep aid, as a de-stressing aid, as a self discovery aid, etc. It really is a multi-purpose CD. Since I have been using it, I simply feel better. More at peace, and am able to deal with situations better. Very, very impressive.

5 out of 5 stars After Reading This Review You Will Gladly Give Me All Of Your Money..........2006-10-25

Not falling for it, huh? Oh, well...I thought I could steal your money like "Gerald" suggested...hey, I do take money orders and most major credit cards, does that help?

Anyway...

Today I finally got this CD. I ordered it about two weeks ago, but it arrived today. I couldn't get it out of the package fast enough. In fact, I postponed an appointment I had so I could listen to it.

Hey, I have my priorities.

I have quite of few of Jeffrey Thompson's CDs and every one of them is magnificent in their own way, but for some reason, I really reasonate with this one. I am going to be cliche' here, but I truly felt as though something magical was taking place when I slipped on the headphones and cued up track one.

Because I have had surgery on my lower back and continue to have difficulties with my lower spine, I devised a meditation where I take a deep breath in and then I slowly "move" energy (envisioned as a golden light) up the spinal cord, into the brain stem, throughout the brain, into the pineal gland (the area between the eyes) where I hold the breath for a slow count of three and then I release the breath and then I take another deep breath and reverse the process. Yeah, it does sound like a kundalini exercise, but it's much softer and more gentle and I really felt greatly refreshed and spiritually as well as physically strengthened after this exercise.

Kundalini kind of wears me out. Maybe I'm doing it wrong...I dunno. Are you supposed to do it with a bucket on your head, wearing your grandmother's panties while drinking a cherry slurpee? That's what I was told...

But this CD really made an already good meditation, a great one! I cannot wait until I use it tomorrow night in the meditation class I am guiding. Yeah, it'll be on "open air" speakers, but I find the even without headphones, Jeffrey Thompson's CDs produce deep feelings of relaxation in my spiritual guests...I refuse to call them students as they have as much (if not more) to teach me than I have to teach them.

So, do I recommend this CD, of course I do. Like I said, I did have to wait, but maybe it just wasn't in stock, but it just gave me an opportunity to practice patience and knowing that everything is just as it needs to be.

Peace and Blessings, fellow beings of Light...

1 out of 5 stars So many smart ways to steal you money...........2006-01-04

So many smart ways to take your money and this is one of them. I was really disappointed with this item. The sounds were not soothing and did nothing to help me fall asleep. Might I recommend the book 'power sleep' instead.

3 out of 5 stars Bird or Cell phone???.......2005-08-03

This cd would have been better if in the first track half way through, there weren't these digitalized bird calls. The sounds are too close to my cell phone/alarm clock ring and I find myself getting a little irritated for the 5 or so minutes its happening. And since the track is 30 min long and I can't forward through it, I have to bear with it. If I could delete that part of the track, I'd give it a 5 star rating.
