This CD evokes wonderful memories for those of Mexican American ancestry who grew up listening to many if not most of these songs. The songs which are about sorrow and death, lovers and revolutionaries are heartfelt and traditional. I don't think I've listened to any other CD that has such a varied assortment of traditional songs. You'll sing along with the songs and cry with them as well. It's a wonderful tribute to the history of Mexico.
