Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars If it wasn't for Bruno Martino I'd give it 2 stars .......2005-05-01

I bought this on a whim at my local music shop. It's a mixture of vocal tracks and instrumentals. Of the instrumentals track 11 is one of those songs where you say to yourself "I've heard this before but didn't know what it was called" and you don't recall how you know it but it's somewhere in the back of your memory.

Most of the (obscure) vocals I don't care terribly much for except the sexy voice of Bruno Martino. An Italian singer of the 1960's his tone is similar to Matt Munro but of course the lyrics are in Italian. I'm a huge fan of the Dean Martin Italian Love Songs cd and now I have to purchase one of the few Bruno Martino cds available.

Track 2 by Bruno Martino:Cosa'hai Trovato in Lui - he's comparing himself to his former girlfriends new lover, what does he have that I don't? Such a sad but pretty song.

Track 8: Roma, Nun Fa La Stupida Stasera - I don't know Italian and the Babelfish translator didn't help too much on solving the mystery of the lyrics to this one. Something about the stupid evening in Rome in the springtime.

I listen to this cd on occasion but I'll play tracks 2 and 8 over and over. Since traveling to Rome and Tuscany spring 2004 I'm planning a little Italian evening get together on the patio and this cd will be playing!
