That Voice!!.......2003-01-22

I still remember the first time I heard Isidro Lopez singing " 'sta tarde pa' arrepentirnos" and I just could hardly believe the character of that voice. This is my favorite CD of all my music collection. Even my gabacho (Anglo) neighbors have fallen in love with it. His is the most unique and compelling male voice in Tejano music. Como Isidro Lopez, no hay dos.

I had the privilege of seeing him in the 60's he was great then, and this cd has brought alot of old memories back.The cd is worth twice the price.Just to hear that voice and music was a joy and trip through time is priceless. I just wish there was more music out there by him. If you want good music from one of the BEST 60's singers that ever lives, buy this CD it's worth every penny..

Isidro "El Indio" is my father and I am very proud of him. My father is not only my father but the father of Tejano Music. My father opened the doors for Tejano music. People have forgotten where it all started, its a shame how some of these new artist dont know about their roots and dont give credit where credit is due. I want to thank my Dad's fans who remember where Tejano music began.

Isidro lopez is the frank sinatra of tejano music. TOO BAD HE DID NOT RECORD MANY ALBUMS. eL indio IS ONE OF THE FEW ALBUMS THAT ARE AVAILABLE. i know he has numerous 45 records out but they are probably in individual collections.
