This Was My First Cd From Los Toros band.......2004-02-14

They are a great group and this was my first cd from them. I got it christmas of 2000 and I like the whole thing. Like one of the other reviewers said they have been around for a while. They do good cds. Also if they post it then check out my review for Merengue Y Mas by Los Toros Band which is a greatest hits cd. Thank you. I also recommend from Los Toros band Pa' La calle. Thank You.

Me gusto este disco desde el primer golpe de la canción "Mi Niña". Héctor Acosta esta en su apogeo y este disco es otro ejemplo de su capacidad para producir musica que le gusta a su publico oyente. "Toromania" segun yo es su mejor disco hasta ahora pero no significa que los otros sean malos. Sin embargo, este tiene un sabor muy especial (especialmente si eres aficiondao al estilo tradicional) y cada cancion te dejara pasmado por causa de su sonido ritmico y golpeito a la vez. El disco cuenta con una buena mezcla de los diferentes estilos de merengue que se pueden producir. La version de Mi Nina en bachata es ejemplar. Vale la pena comprar el disco, no dejaras de escucharlo.

AN EXCITING NEW RELEASE from LOS TOROS BAND!.......2000-08-21

Los Toros Band from the Dominican Republic have been around for many years and their albums are always pure class. Los Toros band is one of the most respected bands in Latin music. This latest release is a combination of Merengues and Bachatas. While the Merengues on this CD are lively, it's the Bachata songs that will satisfy more.

The first track, "Mi Nina" is a perfect examaple of "Bacha-rengue," a combination of Merengue's lively rhythm with the high-pitched sound of the Bachata guitar. This song is a huge hit right now in NYC and is heard on the radio, in clubs, parties, everywhere. The CD also contains a remix of "Mi Nina," done to a 100% Bachata arrangement, which is stunning. "Menos Que Nada," another Bachata and "Si No Te Vuelvo A Ver" (a Bachata ballad) are the best tracks on the allbum.

This CD is highly recommended, especially if you are fan of Bachata music, which is taking over in terms of popularity!

Los Toros siguen con la "Mania"!.......2000-08-12

This group really doesn't stop giving the people what they need: Great Music. Los Toros Band's newest effort, "Toromania", goes back to the roots of their beginnings. The promotional cut, "Mi Nina", has a blazin' sound and the bachata version is excellent. However, the only setback is that it doesn't contain any songs with pure mambo, but it's great to listen to these guys anytime.
