I discovered the voice of Luz Casal thanks to the director, Pedro Almodovar. She sang "Un Ano De Amor" and "Piensa En Mi" on the soundtrack to Almodovar's wonderful film "High Heels." I enjoyed her singing so much that I managed to track down a "Luz" CD, and I was not disappointed!

Luz Casal is a popular pop star in Spain, and after listening to this CD, it's easy to understand why. She possesses a beautiful, clear voice which is showcased by many of the songs on this CD. Most of the tracks have soft background instrumentals with a solo guitar--a perfect complement for Luz's voice.

If you haven't heard Luz Casal before, I highly recommend her CDs. This CD, by the way, contains both of the songs from the Almodovar film "High Heels"--displacedhuman

All greatest Hits are good. This one i bought for a friend and they loved it. They told me it was the best, so if you want pure spanish pop from the 80s and 90s get it. Luz is a stylish singer with pop tunes rock and ballads.
