Fanstic!!!!!... Bye It!!!!!.......2003-08-12

I will first admit that I did not know who Victor Victor was untill 2001 when I heard a song from his leastest cd in 2001. No Sir. I have know Victor Victor since 1991 when my mother bought Inspiraciones on cassette for a song that they had been playing on the radio that was nice. I was only 10 at the time. Now I am 22. Whew!!! Getting old. Victor Victor sings bachata. Very romantic Bachata music. He comes from the same place my mom comes from the Rupublica Dominicana. My brother and I come from New York but I have lived in Flordia for 20 years or about. This cd is very good cd. Very romantic. Full of pasion and love. Victor Victor is very good but he is not making it like he used to but that does not keep from getting this cd or any of his other cds. I only heard one song on the radio and that was it so I thought the cd was awful but it turned out to be very nice just like Inspiraciones. My faviote song is Pisando Rayas. Victor Victor now needs to retire out of music and enjoy the rest of life. Hes got money. What singer does not. Hes got to be in his late 40's or in his 50's Because like I said hes not making it like he used to. This will probely be his last cd so bye it. Give him support in what peobley is his last cd. I am going to bye Inspiraciones on cd and another cd which is Tu Corazon. Fanstic cd. I just bought it this year.

Have you heard of Victor Victor? The chances are small .... but believe me, he deserves a wider audience... don't miss him. He is a inventor, a poet, a musican in the purest sense ....
This is the newest recording of a great master of the "newer" form of bachata, made popular to a wider audience by Juan Luis Guerra. Bachata, the dominican music form, with roots in "son", the latin american style, which has been popularized by the recent "discovery" through Ry Cooder, with his "Buena Vista Club" recordings . But Bachata has long ago developed to a beautiful genre in it's own right, intially also firmly rooted in a "rural" tradition. Now Victor Victor, if not the father, is at least one of the initiators of the modern form of bachata. After a semi retirement of a couple of years he is back with a absolutely beautiful recording - maybe his best. The music, though firmly rooted in it's origins, interweaves with ease other syles, like even country music guitar licks, sultry jazz cordings, balades and pop songs to a harmonic whole. A collection of nine "trouvaille d'art", nine timeless pieces of popular music, great!
