Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Fantastic.......2005-02-19

This release from Roberto and Chocolate Armenteros is nothing short of amazing. Right from the beginning of the disc, from Roberto's conversation wtih Chocolate at the start of El Castigador, you know you're going to be in a for treat. And with the legendary sonero Roberto Torres, and Chocolate's amazing trumpet, it never lets up from start to finish.

Both artists have certainly put in their dues and finely honed their skills. Roberto has long been a fine sonero, back in his days with Orquesta Broadway and when he was laying down coro with Fania, to when he branched out and started his own SAR records. Chocolate Armenteros, he needs no introduction either. The man is as much of a legend as Roberto. The two together are amazing.

I must disclose that I am *somewhat* biased in that I am very good friends with Roberto Torres. But, that aside, I was a fan long before that and continue to be a bigger fan. He is extremely genuine and amazingly gracious and kind. Beyond that, his skills as a sonero are without doubt.

Get this, and you will cherish it for a very long time to come.
