No tuve la suerte de conseguir el album anterior de Yuri, pero éste para mí es EXCELENTE. Un triunfal retorno a la canción melódica donde vuelve a llegar a nuestros corazones, rozando también el alma. Su voz luce impecable como siempre, y en todos los temas y todos los ritmos, nos demuestra que es una Número Uno de verdad. Gracias Yuri por volver a interpretar y grabar este estilo de música que, sin desmerecer tus trabajos religiosos, me parece que ha nacido para tí y tú para ella.
Mis temas preferidos: Mi Rechazo; El Que La Hace La Paga y la bella versión de "Cosas del Amor" que hace con Ana Bárbara.

No cabe duda que una vez mas Yuri demuestra su verstailidad en esta magnifica produccion, en la cual ademas del talento de Yuri, se encuentra soportada en una adecuada produccion de Memo Gil ademas de la acertada participacion de artistas como Lupe Esparza (Bronco), Mijares y Vicente Fernandez entre otros.
Musica contemporanea Mexicana es lo que encontraran en este CD, que va desde la balada romantica hasta la musica de mariachi y grupero pasando por el formato de banda.

Temas exquisitos como Mi Rechazo, Y llegaste tu, El que la hace la paga y Cuatro Vidas; y temas bailables como Que no quede huella y Nada mas decidete hacen de este disco un delicioso cocktel especialmente para todos aquellos compatriotas que se encuentran fuera de Mexico.

Yuri has been the brightes star in the mexican music sky, in fact for me the best of all.

Unfurnatelly since "Espejos del alma" in 1995 her carrer took another path since she decided to commit her life into a Religious way, and since then any of her records has become unsucesfull and she had changed many times of recording company.

Personally I don't like the style of this CD, and any of them since "Espejos del alma". Anyway, for all the fans of Yuri is a delight to have a new record of her, and hopefully one day she realises how much her fans we liked the style she had when she was the Number 1.

Yuri, what have we not already said about her? We all know she's an amazing singer, an entertainer at heart and a good soul. She has hardly done anything less than great, and this last effort is none less. Gone are the Christian themes, gone are her stigmas from her past, here, we only get "Yuri"!!!

This CD is a mixture of many different sounds from Mexico. Ranging from Banda of the Northern regions, Mariachi, Grupero ballads and my personal favorite, the Danzón of her homeland of Veracruz. It feels as if you're taking a long musical trip through Mexico at first listen, but in the end you feel satisfied.

The other obvious thing worth noting is the inclusion of so many collaborations! You'd think that this was a hip-hop album! The album includes Jae-P, Lupe Esparza, her contemporaries Pandora and Mijares, a marvelous duet with Vicente Fernandez and a god-awful cover of Ana Gabriel and Vikki Carr's "Cosas Del Amor", sang here with empty bombshell Ana Barbara. My particular complaint with the latter song mentioned is that Yuri REALLY held back her vocals! It is known that Yuri is a loud singer and can wail with the best of them, but here she limits herself to one octave. Perhaps she didn't want to outshine Ana Barbara? Even though that doing so is a very easy task and even an average singer can do so with a whisper, I still feel Yuri should have not compromised her vocals for such a bad collaboration.

As I mentioned before, my favorite track is the Danzón "Amor Sin Esperanza". Her voice is amazing, and it goes well with the tropical mid-tempo sound. It's great to hear Yuri interpreting the music of her homeland. I hope to hear more of this in the future. Other tracks worth noting is the Banda/Dance song "Nada Mas Decidete", which will likely be a single since it is so upbeat and addicting. The song picks up to a dance beat towards the last half of it, it's very enjoyable.

All in all, the CD is much more diverse than her previous effort, and I myself was very surprised that Yuri was able to pull off such a distinctive album than all her others. I must praise Yuri's artistry for being true to her voice and bending styles to fit her voice. I am quite content with the results, and I hope that many more people get to hear this surprise from 2004
