Customer Reviews:
OH SO SMOOTH.......2006-11-12
this is a very very nice CD, one of Brown's best. I would own it if just for the track LYDIAN. I absolutely love the groove and feel of that track and Brown's playing is right on. The songs are good and the production is superb. If you like smooth jazz with a bit of an R&B flavor I would recommend this disc. Listen to LYDIAN, crank it up and I dare you not to tap your feet.

A Must Buy.......2005-10-19
I have been a Norman Brown fan for years. This CD was one of the first Jazz cd's I bought and I've never looked back. I have listened to all his releases and I have to say that this one is my all time favorite. As I go back and listen to this CD it sounds just as good as it did the first time I listened to it. Even though he was beginning his career, I believe that it is some of the most heartfelt, soul driven guitar playing I have ever heard. Every time I listen to Norman play, its as if he was singing through the guitar. You have got to get this.
AWWEEEEEEEEESOME!!!.......2005-06-29
A MUST HAVE. THIS CD IS ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS I AM SO MUCH IN TO JAZZ TODAY!! CAN LISTEN FROM FIRST SONG TO THE LAST. TAKE ME THERE IS MY FAVORITE. MAKES YOU MUST WANNA MOVE SOMETHING.
"STILL AMAZING".......2004-10-24
As a smooth jazz fanatic and guitar player, there is a consistent wealth of talent that keeps my ears busy and happy.
To date, "After THe Storm" remains as my favorite smooth jazz
recording. Aside from being one of greatest guitar players, the
producing and arranging on this CD is nothing short of extraordinary.THe whole CD is excellent. It is best played in the car. The tracks are infectious. While there are many smooth
jazz CD's that are superb on all levels, this one is the "epitome" of smooth jazz guitar.Having most of Brown's discography, I still find this to be his best work. I think it's hard to top such a gem as "After The Storm".
I'm buying for the second time!!.......2004-04-01
Unbelievable CD!! Some of the smoothest and most well played jazz I've ever heard! When my original CD got scratched, I bought another copy!! Highly recommended.
