Unbelieveable Sounds from 21 Glorious Trombonists.......2006-12-01

If you could gather Urby Green, Kai Winding, Milt Berhardt,
Lou McGarrity, J.J.Johnson, Buddy Morrow and Will Bradley+ ++Boocoodles of the same ilk of all-star trombonists into one recording session; Pass out arrangements from old Stan Kenton days, Tommy Dorsey or Les Brown's Band-of Re-known.

Next spice into that mix, Urby Green plus two or three others as soloists! I picked Kai Winding & Lou McGarrity of Arthur Godfrey fame, all joined in four-part harmony steamimg, in-syle of 1950's version of "Stardust, What Now My Love, Without A Song, Stars Fell Over Alabama, and You Only Live Twice," I never get tired of playing in the car Stereo on trips!

yes, this music is pop, elevatorish, but the sound of 21 trombones with 4 on each part and urbie, is a great sound.
Urbie's solos are smooth, always fitting the music, and varied.
His sound is sound transforms from brash in your face to smooth and like butter.
his fast runs are always effortless.
if you just love the trombone sound and great solos i highly recommend this cd.
