My unbiased opinion of this album, as it truely stands........2001-02-21

Okay, so first off, I have to say that maybe I am a little biased because I was present at the recording sessions for this album. So with that said, I'm placing myself back to where I was when I first heard Monatomic. I walked into the studio, and after about one run-through of a practice song, the band immediately started to lay into some incredibly funky jazzy tastyness. I was trying to take pictures at the time, which was quite a mission. This was because I couldn't stop from just watching them play and, in doing so, found myself often closing my eyes and just letting myself fall into the groove with the rest of the band. The album sounds great, and I think it is a very true representation of how the band is. I think if you give this one a listen, then you'll fall into the groove as well, and find yourself not wanting to leave. This is straight up great music that will not let you down. Give it a listen and I'm sure that you'll have to give it many more afterwards.
