MASTERS OF THE SAXOPHONE Vol.1 is very much as the name implies: several latter-day reed players, performing with graceful panache tunes that have long since become jazz standards. All moods and tempos will be found within the eight tracks of this collection-- the "post-melody improv" formula yields consistently excellent results throughout. For any lover of fine jazz.
