great recording of Mingus tunes.......1998-09-01

Lacy is particularly effective on the ballads such as I X Love and Self Portrait, with his beautiful sound.

They are very tight on the fast tunes, playing their lines in perfect unison.

Of all the recent projects of Mingus compositions, this one stands out with grace and beauty.
