This is an album of sheer brilliance. The superb sound and top quality cd production partners well with the breathtaking musicianship of Rob Brown, Whit Dickey, and Joe Morris.
The music is organic and ethereal; of the earth and of the heavens. It is an unbelieveable musical document. Everyone plays at the top of their game. Whit Dickey, in particular, shows that his light touch and cymbal splashes embellish the music in a way that a less sensitive percussionist could not. His playing is simply phenomenal.
One of my favourite discs of the past decade....the soundtrack for all eternity....absolutely essential!!!!
