Much Better Than The LP Version .......2005-02-13

This is one of those Charlie Parker albums that until recently was only available on LP, so I was surprised when I saw it in the CD section at Borders a few weeks ago. Due to the fact that the LP version had such poor sound quality, it really wasn't worth buying, even though the music was good. The sound quality on this CD is a million times better. Bird plays well on this album and there are a few extended tracks that give him a chance to stretch out. Not the most essential Bird album, but definitely worth picking up.
