Customer Reviews:
Nice relaxing music.......1999-11-30
Somehow and got addicted to the sound of the Piano that Keiko Matsui plays. Even though my favorite CDs are "Full Moon and The Shrine" and "Moon Walk" I found Cherry Blossom is pleasant to listen to, especially tracks 1,4,6 and 7. It may be more appriciated if I had a chance to experience Cherry Blossom season in Japan.
I am not sure what type/genre of this music is and dont really care. Piano/Sax of Matsui's product is what I am enjoying. Happy listening.
Good feelings of the nature.......1999-07-12
I like almost every song in this CD. I think this CD features Japanese seasons to express the beauty of nature.
June is the "Rainy Season" in Japan. In June, sorrowful rains fall all day, but the shiny, pleasant summer will be coming out soon. So if Rainy Season is June, Sail South and Walking On The Bridge may be July and August.
The title song Cherry Blossom features a short phrase from a Japanese traditional song called Sakura, which means cherry blossom. Listen to the notes A-A-B, that corresponds to Sa-Ku-Ra.
