Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars This old man, he play one...and one...and one..........2003-01-26

Brubeck recorded this in 1997 at age 77, but you'd never know that from the lively and fresh music on this disc. Each is a Brubeck composition from the 1990's, and all of them are good. His quartet of that year might not be quite as strong as the famous bunch in the 50's and 60's, but it would take a fellow musician to detect it. If you like Dave, don't think that he wasn't still great in his later years. I found my copy at a bargain price, which makes it even more enjoyable, but I think any Brubeck or jazz piano fan would find it a good deal at the full price. Fast, slow and inbetween, with lots of time for the other instruments in addition to the piano, this CD was a wonderful suprise to me. One you can listen to several times in a row (it's 57 minutes) without getting bored.

5 out of 5 stars As good as Time Out.......2000-03-26

Dave Brubeck in this CD is just as good as he was in his Best Seller "Time Out" thirty years ago. All the tracks are melodious yet upbeat. I am very impressed, at his age, he is still so creative and skillful in his wonderful music.

If you like Brubeck's other works, you'll not be disappointed in this one.
