Great Nostalgia.......2007-03-24

What a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the nostalgia of the big bands and done with great sound and thoughtful selections. All in all a great listen.

BUDDY IS STILL THE BEST.......2006-06-09

Contrary to SOME reviews about this album,it is right up there with Buddy's earlier RCA work..The fact that it contains some obscure tunes,rather than all top hits should not detract from the overall excellence of the album

Good Buddy Morrow, nice cross section of early 60's.......1999-07-12

This album consists of tracks taken from sessions done for radio in 1963 & 64. Arrangements are good and as usual with Hindsight Recordings, care has been taken to keep these tracks as accurate as possible without the usual over processing so many reissues are guilty of. While Morrow is best known for his work for RCA and Mercury in the 1950's, his integrity as a band leader has never diminished, even to this day. As a note of interest, Buddy Morrow, at age 80, is still on the road as leader of "The Tommy Dorsey Band".

If you have collected Buddy Morrow's recordings, this album is a must as it is a follow up to what the major labels put on the back burner as the "Rock 'N' Roll Revolution" began to heat up.

THIS LOOKED LIKE A GOOD CD, BUT............1999-04-24

BEFORE I BOUGHT THIS CD I KNEW OF BUDDY MORROW BECAUSE OF HIS WORK WITH THE TOMMY DORSEY ORCHESTRA. HE HAS BEEN THE LEADER OF THIS WONDERFUL ORCHESTRA. ON THIS PARTICULAR CD HE IS ON HIS ON. ON FIRST GLANCE OF THE SONGS LISTED I THOUGHT THIS MIGHT BE A FAIRLY GOOD CD BUT THE PROBLEM IS OF THE 16 SONGS LISTED ONLY 8 ARE HOUSEHOLD NAMES AND OF THE RAMINING 8 SONGS I ONLY LIKED 4 SONGS. HIS ARRANGEMENTS WERE NOT VERY GOOD.I BELEIVE THIS WAS A WASTED EFFORT ON BUDDY'S PART.
