If you are a fan of Kenny G & "smooth jazz", no need to read any further - this CD is not for you.......

I was given this CD by a friend of mine who saw Derek at the New Orleans Jazz Fest with Ellis Marsallis. I really enjoyed this CD. Its good to see new talent putting out something original and carrying on the "tradition". Douget is accompanied by a group of very capable musicians including Marsalis and Nicholas Payton. Suggest that the reader listen to the sample cuts "GOA" and "Friendship". Well Done!!!!

Growing up with Douget, I often listened to him practice long hours. He has a natural gift for playing the sax and this CD is testament to that. Looking forward to hearing more of his work.

What a great new CD... I saw Derek Douget with Ellis Marsallis at Snug Harbor(New Orleans) a few months ago. This guy was great. It is good to see a young musician who understands and can play Jazz. I am looking forward to being back in New Orleans and seeing him again. GREAT CD! Wish he was in New York more...
