Review: Linny Nance is a versatile performer and composer whose new CD titled ON & POPPIN' is a fine example of smooth jazz with a touch of soul and funk! With 13 selections, there is something for every jazz listener to enjoy in this collection!
Some of the songs are "Last Night," "Jam For Pam," "D In E Flat," "Broken Hearts," "Thinking 'Bout You," "On & Poppin'," "After Love Is Gone," among others. Each song performance highlights the talents of Linny Nance and reveals his polish as a performer!
Of special note on this fine collection, check out the joint piano solo of Linny Nance and Bernard Wright with vocals by Djore Nance with Bernard Wright on additional keys and drum programming, on the song, "Let Me Be The One," total playing time at 4:36 minutes, and "Last Night" with Linny Nance on trumpet. The collection is topnotch and showcases the talents of Linny Nance.
ON & POPPIN' is a jazz delight & fun! Excellent performances!
