Leon Redbone receives no money by the purchase of this CD. Regardless of the quality of the recording, leave it alone.

if you like django reinhart, and blind blake's guitar playing try redbone. this cd has sexy vocals smooth as bing crosby's, but even smokier, and jazzier!!! the songs ar estandards from the 20's 30's and rare tunes too. redbones' heated guitar playing is 1930's ragtime style at it's best! You love it i promises.

Yeah man, you get Leon Redbone playing solo guitar all thru thru the classic cd, and it's live dude. His voice is awesome, crooning like a Bing Crosby, who had a little too much to drink. This is Leon's best cause you get to hear his awesome guitar work, man that guy's just like Blaind Blake, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Blind Gary Davis, accept Leon can see!(maybe not ha always wears sunglasses, haha). This is the Redbone cd to get, all his others feature jazzy bands, which are good, but this concentrates on his way cool virtiouso guitar playing, and ris soooo smooth vocals. A+++++++++++ cd.

For the true Leon devotee!.......2002-07-19

If you want to hear an album of individual songs that is neat and clean and separates one track from another, this is not the album you want. On the other hand, if you want to hear Leon and his music as it would be performed in a smoke filled saloon, then this one is for you. There are some interludes between cuts that are a bit overboard, but it's supposed to be that way if you are in a saloon and not in your living room.
