Customer Reviews:
very very good.......2002-08-06
This cd is so cool.Lots of the songs have cool beats, plus very good instrumentals. My favorites were BURN IT UP and BAD BAD SIMBA.
Unknown Gold.......2001-07-05
While driving home from work a local jazz station played a song that overwhelmed me to the point of pulling over and calling the station to get the name of the song and artist. What we have is an unknown group from the U.K. They have a Rio/spanish blend of jazz that is smooth and reflective. Every song brings you on a journey. They compare to no other jazz group I can recall. Possible a mixture of smooth and contemporary. There is lots of sax which reminds you of the many sax players, lots of lead guitar, jazz organ and much more. "Rio Dawn", "Bad, Bad Simba", "Jungle Stut", and "Burn it Up" will get your groove going. As a jazz lover for over 30 years and my love of smooth jazz the title "Mellow Mellow" ranks with about the most beautiful song I have ever listened to. It has everything. Meaning, feeling, adventure, soul, history, international flavor, vocals, story telling, and more. It brings tears to my eyes because of the smooth vibes it gives me. This was the song that caused me to pull over and call the station. If you listen to "Mellow Mellow" you will buy this CD.
