Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars A true masterpiece in the history of jazz recordings........2006-06-03

I agree with the other reviewer that this is a great
album by Bob Moses and band, but I do not think it sounds
much like Ornette Coleman's music. I guess maybe like Jaco
but I have sought out records by Jaco and Methany and others
and they cannot touch the great music found on this album.
Time Stood Still even has a short rap by Bob's son that
is amusing and fits in with other tracks. Jaco and Methany
etc. have put out good stuff and they were probably better
"live" but there are no other records to be found like this
fabulous masterpiece. I wish his other records were this good.

5 out of 5 stars Superb composing, playing, recording.......2003-10-24

If you like Jaco Pastorius, Toshiko Akiyoshi, Ornette Coleman, or Kip Hanrahan, then you should really enjoy this. It has elements of all of the above, but is clearly a distinguished work. The composing is lush and unpredictable, the playing is superior, the horns and percussion are full and crisp. Bob Moses can be hokey at times, but there's little of that here. The CD is mature and only becomes more enjoyable after repeated listenings.
