miles four & more one of the greats.......2004-09-11

This is a must have for a jazz or miles collector. It is perhaps the last album that miles let it all out, and in my opinion is a collection of the best version of these jazz standards. George Coleman lets it all out, and shows what a great journeyman he is. Herbie and Ron solidly support, and of course, the "young Tony Williams" brings a new nervous energy which vaults this album into the stratosphere. I've owned this for over 30 years and never tire of it. Cannot recommend enough.

I am a fairly new miles-fan and I have had my focus on the fifties-period...untill now. This album, with a different crew, is an up-tempo and very sharp live-session with very enjoyable solos. Itýs brilliant and it gets even better every time I listen to it.
