5 out of 5 stars A Surprisingly Good Record........2005-04-09

I bought this CD only because I read in Bill Evans' biography that he was friends with Evans. I figured that he might have been influenced by Evans and since I like Evans I thought I would try this. When I got it I liked it immediately. I does remind you of Evans in someplaces and certainly if you are a Bill Evnas fan you will like this recording. The surprise is that Bernhardt actually sounds as much like Bud Powell as he does Bill Evans and he sort of floats between both of these styles. It's an unusaul mix of influences. He also was a keyboardit with Steely Dan and has a ton of other first rate credentials. And, if that is no enough the sound of this recording is world class. As thye say "It's All Good!" and deserves 4 1/2 to 5 stars.
