Grammy Award-winning producer and Label M head Joel Dorn began his career as a disc jockey on Philadelphia's flagship jazz station WHAT-FM in the '60s. During those years on the air, Dorn received thousands of calls from listeners responding to the records he was spinning. It was these fond memories that Dorn used to create the hit vocal jazz compilation Songs That Made The Phone Light Up. With Label M, he's once again decided to revisit those days, only this time featuring instrumental jazz tracks that would light up the phones. Back In My Disc Jockey Days features 11 sides that were staples of jazz radio, and in particular, Dorn's show.
