great cd from a great new player.......2000-06-17

pete mccann is something else! i first saw him with warfields bigband .he knocked me out . completely original and groundbreaking! this disk is a must for any fan of new jazz guitar players. can't wait for the next one!

Listening to spinner.com, I kept hearing things I liked on the new jazz channel...It kept being "Parable" by Pete McCann. After a few weeks of hearing it, i finally clicked through to amazon and ended up buying 2 copies. The CD had an even wider range of styles than I heard on the internet radio. Great job, keep it up. Kudos to the sax players on the CD, they are great too, and Matt Wilson's drumming shines.

'Parable' is for anyone who is into seeing what The Guitar can do. McCann is amazingly versatile but consistently strong in whichever style he chooses. I, personally, think he's as gifted as a composer as a player. Check this guy out.

Having watched and listened to this guy progress since childhood, one has no idea the rewarding feeling that I have for his works. I often wished I could have been inside his head as some of the licks were flowing forth. Jazz is truly his own, as his father prefers Country, and I usually chose Classical.
