beauiful cd the girl knows how to jam well worth the purchase. This is a play through which means that you don't have to skip through the the songs because every song is good.
The greatest sax player of all time,Candy Dulfer!!.......2006-06-20
A long time ago...I went to manhattan to go buy a album from
the Virgin Megastore in 42nd street.I finally found her music
album,For the love of you,and I was so happy that I've gotten the last copy. However, the music really sounded good, but only nine of her song tracks were one my most favorites tracks:
1.Saxy intro
2.Saxy mood
4.For the love of you
5.Smooth
6.Give me some more
8.Bird-My favorite music track that I dedicated to a Metal Slug character,Tarma Roving!
9.Wish you were here-Another song that I also dedicated to another Metal Slug character,Marco Rossi!
11.Sunday cool
12.Girls should stick together
Three of the song tracks which are my least favorite:
3.Glition
7.Once you get started
10.Alright
This album,For The Love Of You,is a pretty good album
and Candy Dulfer has some amazing skills for playing
the saxaphone and she's also THE BEST ALTO-SAX MUSICIAN EVER!
Peace!

This is a great highway driving CD. Candy puts a lot of energy into her music which can be heard right away
This girl jams..........2003-04-28
I find it strange to be writing this review as my wife turned me on to Candy Dulfer. Usually I'm not a big fan of my wife's music (she likes Mariah Carey's type of bubblegum pop a bit too much for me) but over time this album and her Greatest Hits really grew on me. It really does jam and has some great bass lines to boot.
As for her jazz 'purity' (whatever that is) I don't really know. All I know is it's some good music. A bit funky, a bit fun and she can really wail on the saxophone.
Her Greatest Hits is also good and she pays tribute to Miles Davis and covers Average White Band's 'Pick Up The Pieces' to give you a sampling of what she plays. Good stuff.
An album that is more than what it appears to be ..........2003-04-18
If one wants a hint about what this album is really about, take a look at the cover photo. You'll notice Ms. Dulfer looking happily in the direction of her right hand ... which has a ring on it. In the back of the included booklet, we discover what type of ring it actually is, who gave it to her & what he looks like. The dedication (in the "Thank You" section) next to it says it all:
"Finally, to Thomas: It's all for the love of you!"
And who is Thomas? Her husband. Essentially, this album is Candy Dulfer's way of saying "I love you" to him. Pretty cool, isn't it? I sense this is why "For The Love Of You" has that extra speical something to it. It does sound fabulous!! An insightful peek into the mind, and heart, of a great saxophonist.
