Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars The Magic of 3.......2005-05-02

I've always been a fan of both Stanley Clarke and George Duke back when I heard their first collaboration album. Now, years later, I stumbled upon their third work - and was blown away by just how well they continue to work well with each other. While the groove is pretty much what I've come to expect from the two of them, "Right By My Side" brought tears to my eyes. Gerald Alston's vocals, combined with George's keyboard mastery and Stanley's subtle bass lines makes you feel the love the song is expressing.

5 out of 5 stars Album With A Double Personality.......2003-10-01

BEWARE of the monters "Pit Bulls","No Place To Hide","Somebody Else" and the stomping cover of "Mothership
Connection"-all late 80's-style electro-funk jams that are beat
heavy and FULL of life! Then we are subjected to smarmy, smaltzy
fluff on the next half peaking with "Lady" and "Always"-ballads
that frankly would make Lionel Richie blush. But no matter-the first four numbers are enough to carry this album and earn it it's high rating.

5 out of 5 stars incredible "get up and go" music.......1999-03-09

Stanley and George have done it again. Project 3 is a compilation of some of the most awesome music on the market--anywhere!!! From keyboards to drums to the "best bassist in the world", everything fit together perfectly. But then again, doesn't everything that these two do? I like the music because I also play the bass (not quite like Stanley)and also the guitar, and I try to hear everything from the percussionists shakers to the wildest solo-whatever instrument it may be played on. This one has it all--Just great music!! I can't hardly wait for 4.
