Classic Trio work once again from Mr Pasqua, it's hard to believe that this is the same guy that did all the heavy synth work with Tony Williams in the 70's... Homage is a classic tune in the miles quintet mode, San Michele, a dreamy etherial mood piece, The Emergence another hard bop romp with the Breckers, Ellingtonia says it all. Taiowa and the beautiful Grace are other standouts, but it's hard to make favorites, all the tunes are great. Holland and Motian sound fantastic together. The Breckers and Gary Bartz make great contributions, another CD to add to your collection.
