There is no doubt after listening to this CD that Mr. Thompson is one off the great jazz players of our time. Many Jazz artist tend to play over your head. Bob Thompson, plays to your heart. His music is so enjoyable. Most jazz musicians sort of scare you away, but on Lady First you can enjoy good music and not know how to play a note yourself. I have seen him live, and trust me, he can play any other artist under the table (He is the baddest piano player you will ever see!) But on Lady First he doesnt want you to see how fast his fingers our, he wants you to focus in on and enjoy his presentation of some wonderful music. I think this CD is the one that puts him on the map for good.
