5 out of 5 stars Just because you don't GET it, don't knock it.......2007-01-29

A lot of people have given this album poor reviews because they believe that its "not music" or that its just "weird sounds" I would have to ask what in these peoples' minds constitutes music. Sure it isn't Creedence Clearwater Revival's greatest hits, but its Zorn and Patton. If you are at all familiar with these two then you know to expect the unexpected and that they both often participate in considerably un-orthodox musical projects. To represent this material as "not music" is just sadly ignorant and further proves how avant-garde art has little place in mainstream culture and is rarely recognized with much understanding or appreciation. Zorn's sax never sounded better. Pattons voice shrieks like it always should and the ambient electronics and harsh squalls couldn't sound better. In my opinion of course. Pick it up if you're into it, but if you're not then the jokes on you for buying it in the first place. Otherwise just go buy another copy of A Rush of Blood to the Head to keep sealed under your pillow.

1 out of 5 stars Sometimes things go out of print for a reason.......2006-09-14

Every artist who participated in this project has, at one point or another, berated it... and with good reason. The only reason to buy this album is if you are a huge fan of Patton, Spruane, Zorn, et al and want a copy to proudly display exactly how dedicated of a fan you are. As a listening experience it is painful at best, though I imagine it would be useful if you had a party and you wanted to convince everyone it was time to leave without actually coming out and saying so.

1 out of 5 stars weird little boy blows.......2006-05-11

I payed $23 for this CD, because it's a a rare import, and because I had never heard it. It's not music at all - it's mostly just strange sounds and ambience. DO NOT BUT THIS CD! It's worthless. Trey Spruance (who is on the CD) actually apologizes to any of his fans who have bought it. (check out wikipedia)

5 out of 5 stars This is brilliant.......2006-02-27

The titel "Lungfull of Water" is good enough to buy this album.
If you like weird little music then buy weird little boy.
I love it, but it is almost not harmonic at all, so be warned. the first two tracks are noisy soundscapes, whereas in the following tracks there is something like melody or rhythm, and "Lungfull of Water" shows brilliantly how you can generate a very disturbing mood which grows stronger and stronger in course of the track although the melody stays same-- don't know how to describe it, just listen to it!

4 out of 5 stars Mike Patton, John Zorn, and Trey.......2001-11-29

This is a weird album, and also rare! Mike Patton does sound affects[known], like Adult themes for voices and Maldoror. It's got guitar's, drum's, and saxophone. But don't think of organized music. It's mixed in with a bunch of noise. This is for hard core
fans. But I liked it. IT put's you in a weird state of mind!
