5 out of 5 stars Unbelievable CD!.......2005-04-26

I first heard of Sadao Watanabe when my parents used to play the old vinyl of "How's Everything" on the turn table. I had been looking for a digital version ever since, and finally found one here on Amazon.

Needless to say, this CD is absolutely enthralling. Every song is a true masterpiece, but my favorites are defintiely "Nice Shot," "No Problem" and "Mzuri," three of the album's more upbeat tracks. If you're looking for more of a melodic ballad, "Tsumagoi" and "All About Love" are sure to get your juices flowing. There really isn't a weak link on this entire album, and the sound quality for a live show is very good.

Sadao's music is such a revolutionary fusion of jazz and funk, and the sax and funk guitar trade-offs are unmatchable not only in the jazz sphere, but possibly in all of music.

5 out of 5 stars One of my favorite albums of all time..........2005-01-15

I first heard this live recording of a Sadao Watanabe concert almost 27 years ago. My friend let me record the album on cassette tape which has subsequently worn out after years of constant playing. I've been looking for the CD ever since...with no luck. Then I came across it on Amazon and was able to pick it up, even though it's somewhat pricey, you will not regret spending the dollars to add this CD to your collection.

"How's Everything" is one of the best live recordings (of any kind of music) that I've heard. The audio quality of the music and the ambient sounds of the crowd are excellent...you can close your eyes and feel like you're actually there. Sadao's performance is outstanding, especially on "Nice Shot" one of my favorite all time tunes. Unlike some CDs where only a couple of the songs are worth noting, all of the tracks on this CD are quite good. Enjoy!

5 out of 5 stars One of the best Jazz live albums I've heard.......2004-11-02

I had this album about 15 years ago and never got tired of listening to it. Sadao has a distinct style that leaves you breathless. Finally it's here on CD. Just wondering why it took so long for them to do this. I just can't wait to purchase it.
